White Bean Dip with Pita Crisps Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbs. Bickford’s Lemon Flavor 
  • 1 tsp. Bickford’s Basil Flavor 
  • ¼ tsp. lemon pepper 
  • ¼ tsp. freshly ground sea salt, to taste 
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) cannelloni beans or great northern beans, drained and rinsed 
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in food processor and process until smooth. Spoon into bowl; cover and chill for several hours or overnight to blend flavors.  Serve with pita crisps or tortilla chips.

Orange Custard Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 6 egg yolks 
  • ⅓ cup sugar 
  • ¼ tsp. salt 
  • 3 tsp. Bickford’s Orange Flavor 
  • 2½ milk 

Directions:

In a mixing bowl, thoroughly beat together the egg yolks, sugar, salt and orange flavor. Scald the milk. Pour the milk very slowly into the yolk mixture, beating constantly and vigorously. Pour the mixture into a buttered 1½ quart baking dish. Set the dish in a pan of hot water in a 350o F pre-heated oven and bake 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center can be withdrawn clean. Serve the custard warm or, if desired, cooled with slightly sweetened whipped cream.

Baked Granola Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 6 cups rolled oats 
  • 3½ cups rye flakes 
  • 2 cups shredded coconut 
  • 2 cups sunflower seeds 
  • 1 cup sesame seeds 
  • 2 cups chopped almonds 
  • ¾ cup barley malt 
  • ⅔ cup canola oil 
  • 1¼ cups pure maple syrup 
  • 1 tbs. Bickford’s Pure Vanilla 
  • 1 tbs. Bickford’s Almond Flavor 
  • ¼ tsp. Bickford’s Maple Flavor 
  • ½ tsp salt 
  • 1 cup raisins 

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, combine oats, rye flakes, coconut, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and almonds. In a separate bowl, stir together the barley malt, oil, maple syrup, all extracts and salt. Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and mix together well. (For granola that sticks together more, use a food processor to combine wet and dry mixtures.) Spread the combined mixture onto a large baking sheet and bake for 50 minutes, or until the mixture is lightly browned. Let cool for 30 minutes. (Granola will harden and darken as it cools.) Mix in the raisins and serve immediately or store in an airtight, sealable container for future breakfasts.

Mango Cream Cheese Spread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. package of Cream Cheese (at room temp.)
  • 2 tbs. sugar or sugar substitute
  • 1 tbs. Bickford's Mango Flavor

 

Directions:

Combine and blend cream cheese, sugar, and flavor together. Spread on bagels, fresh fruit, and veggies.

Easy Butter Cream Frosting Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Butter, softened
  • 4 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. any choice of Bickford Flavor
  • 5 to 6 tbs. 2% Milk

 

Directions:

In a large bowl cream butter untnil light and fluffy. Beat in cofectioner's sugar, flavor of choice, and milk to achieve desired consistency.

 

Flavor Ideas:

Vanilla, Maple, Lemon, Raspberry, Violet, or Champagne
