Orange Custard Recipe
Ingredients:
6 egg yolks
⅓ cup sugar
¼ tsp. salt
3 tsp. Bickford’s Orange Flavor
2½ milk
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, thoroughly beat together the egg yolks, sugar, salt and orange flavor. Scald the milk. Pour the milk very slowly into the yolk mixture, beating constantly and vigorously. Pour the mixture into a buttered 1½ quart baking dish. Set the dish in a pan of hot water in a 350o F pre-heated oven and bake 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center can be withdrawn clean. Serve the custard warm or, if desired, cooled with slightly sweetened whipped cream.
