Cream of Peanut Soup Recipe



  • 1 med onion, chopped
  • 2 celery ribs, chopped
  • 1 stick butter
  • ½ cup flour
  • 2 quarts chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Bickford Chili Flavor
  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 2 tsp Bickford Peanut Butter Flavor
  • 2 cups light cream
  • Chopped peanuts


Saute onion and celery until soft, but not brown. Stir in flour, blend well. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring constantly and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and rub through a sieve.  Return to pan and add Worcestershire, Bickford Chili Flavor, peanut butter, Bickford Peanut Butter Flavor and cream stirring to blend thoroughly.  Warm over low heat but do not boil. Serve garnished with chopped peanuts.
